What happens during a companion care fit conversation?
For anyone who wants to know what information to gather before contacting a provider.
The first four facts
- Who is looking for support and who is participating in the decision
- The exact county, ZIP, or service address
- The ordinary tasks or part of the day that feels difficult
- Whether any bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, transfer, walking, medication, nursing, or clinical help is needed
Then discuss practical fit
- The days, times, frequency, and likely start window
- Current availability for that address and schedule
- Rates, minimums, cancellation rules, and other terms
- How the person receiving support would like visits and communication to work
A good outcome is a clear answer
The answer may be yes, maybe with more details, or this is not the right provider category. Disqualification is useful when it prevents a family from spending more time on the wrong service.
What not to send through a marketing form
Do not send diagnoses, medication lists, insurance identifiers, Social Security numbers, financial account details, or other sensitive health and financial information. A provider can ask for necessary information later through the appropriate process.
